In the Novice 1 level swimmers will start to refine beginner level techniques. Skills include:1. High elbow recovery2. Correct flutter kick3. Independent front breath4. Independent back float5. Introduction to breaststroke kick6. Assisted back float to front swim
In Novice 2 children will perform front crawl for 30 feet, swim 15 feet on back, and begin elementary level competitive strokes. Skills include:1. Independently multiple front breaths2. Flutter while on back3. Swimming while turning front to back4. Diving basics5. Introduction to Breaststroke arms6. Introduction to dolphin kick7. Introduction to front dive
In our Stoke Development class, children will be introduced to proper competitive stroke technique.Skills Learned:1. Freestyle with rhythmic breathing (25 yards)2. Backstroke with proper underwater pull (25 yards)3. Introduction to breaststroke timing4. Introductory Butterfly5. Introduction of shallow water dive6. Elementary Backstroke
In Introduction to competitive swimming children will learn all 4 competitive stokes and associated turns. Skills Learned:1. Freestyle with proper body position (50 yards)2. Freestyle flip turns3. Backstroke with proper body position (50 yards)4. Introduction to Backstroke flip turns5. Legal Breaststroke (25 yards)6. Legal Butterfly (25 yards)7. Introduction to competitive start8. Treading water with rotary kick9. Stride jump
These lessons are for adults 18 years old and over that are looking for basic swim instruction and/or fitness. Emphasis is placed upon, but not limited to, basic freestyle and backstroke technique.
